Travel from Malaga to one of the main tourist attractions of the province on our Caminito del Rey Day Trip. You'll walk through the famous Gaitanes Gorge and admire incredible views of Malaga's rugged landscape.
Caminito del Rey Day Trip
We'll meet at 10 Avenida de Andalucía and board a minibus that'll take us northwest through the beautiful inland countryside of the province of Malaga.
During the journey, we'll cross the Alcaparaín mountain range, and see extensive orange groves and several Andalusian white villages. We'll make a one-hour stop in the village of Ardales so you can stretch your legs or have a snack on your own.
Then, we'll arrive at the Guadalhorce reservoir, where the famous Caminito del Rey path is located. We'll walk for 1 mile (1.5 kilometres) until we reach the entrance of this popular passageway. Did you know that it was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII in 1921?
The Caminito del Rey tour will start by discovering the geology, the wildlife and the spectacular landscapes that surround us. The footbridge, suspended almost 340 feet (105 metres) above the Gaitanes Gorge, will offer us incredible panoramic views of the Sierra de Málaga. We'll take around 2 hours 30 minutes and 3 hours to walk the whole route. As we walk, we'll stop at the best viewpoints to take photos and learn some fun facts about this place.
After enjoying the Caminito del Rey, we'll say goodbye to this beautiful place and finish the excursion at the starting point.
Since its restoration and subsequent reopening, the Caminito del Rey has become one of the main tourist attractions in the province of Malaga. Demand is very high and availability is very limited, so it is advisable to book as soon as possible to guarantee places on the chosen dates.
