Roma & Condesa Neighbourhoods Free Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at number 19 Cuauhtémoc Avenue to begin this free tour of the Roma and Condesa neighbourhoods, two areas that have become famous thanks to their history, architecture and role in international cinema.
From our meeting point, we'll first visit the setting of the acclaimed Oscar-winning Mexican film Roma. During the tour, we'll visit La Romita, a square with a peaceful atmosphere and cobbled streets that seem to transport us to another era.
Then, we'll continue on to the Condesa neighbourhood, famous for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, Art Deco architecture and tree-lined streets. We'll stroll through Río de Janeiro Square, with its famous replica of Michelangelo's David, and Popocatépetl Square, whose Art Deco fountain is popularly known as "La Bomba".
Finally, we'll visit some of the most iconic buildings in the Roma-Condesa Cultural Corridor, such as the Casa de las Brujas, or 'Witches House', a building shrouded in stories and legends that form part of the city's popular imagination.
After a 2-hour tour, we'll say goodbye in Mexico Park.
