Activity Details

At the indicated time, we’ll meet at the Minca bridge. As the forest wakes up and the first rays of sunlight illuminate the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, we’ll begin our adventure. Let’s go!

We’ll start an ecological walk of approximately 3 hours along paths surrounded by vegetation. During this route of about 3.5 kilometers (2.2 miles), we’ll look toward the treetops and listen to the birds singing.

Did you know that more than 600 bird species have been recorded in this area? Many of them are found exclusively in this area, which makes Minca a key destination for birdwatching. You’ll be amazed by the natural richness found in this corner of Colombia!

With some luck, we may see hummingbirds shimmering as they fly, toucans showing off their colorful beaks, and even birds of prey gliding over the mountains. All of this while you learn about the biodiversity of the Sierra Nevada, considered one of the world’s key hotspots for unique species.

Finally, after enjoying a deep immersion in nature while watching birds in their habitat, we’ll end the activity at the meeting point after a total of 3 hours.
