Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta, or we'll meet directly at Minca. This small town, considered the ecological capital of the Sierra Nevada, is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region and is the perfect place to start our adventure. Let's go!
From our meeting point, we'll board an off-roading vehicle that will take us along paths filled with flora and fauna, crossing the humid tropical jungle. Our first stop will be Pozo Azul, one of the most popular corners of Minca. Here, you can swim in its crystal-clear waters before continuing toward the Amazilia Waterfall, a waterfall of 49 ft (15 m) that will amaze you.
Then, we'll return to the town of Minca to enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant. You'll be able to choose between sweet and sour chicken, pork loin with barbecue sauce, or goulash meat, served with soup, rice, salad, and a drink.
After lunch, we'll continue our route toward the Oído del Mundo, a sacred space for indigenous communities in the Sierra Nevada. You'll feel a complete connection in this site filled with symbolism.
Afterward, we'll reach the two Marinka Waterfalls, both standing at 98 ft (30 m) tall. Here, you'll have the opportunity to take a dip in their refreshing waters and enjoy the environment surrounded by the tropical jungle.
Finally, we'll return to the initial meeting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 8 to 9.5 hours.
Additional Info
The tour combines journeys in an off-roading vehicle to points near the waterfalls with walks of 20 to 30 minutes to reach each waterfall. In total, we'll walk 2.48 mi (4 km). At each waterfall, you'll have about 45 minutes of free time to swim, rest, and take plenty of photos.
Pickup & Schedule
During the booking process, you need to indicate if you want to start the tour from Minca or Santa Marta:
- Tour from Santa Marta: we'll pick you up from your hotel in Santa Marta between 7:40 am and 9:20 am
- Tour from Minca: we'll meet at Puente de Minca at 9:40 am
