Nairobi Free Walking Tour
Tour Details
We'll meet at Waberaa St to start our free tour of Nairobi, the perfect way to uncover the essence of Kenya!
First, thanks to the meeting close nearby, we'll stop to admire the Supreme Court of Kenya building. From here, we'll walk to the War Memorial, which pays tribute to those who fought alongside the British forces during World War I.
Continuing on, we'll stop in fronto of the Macmillan Bookshop, one of the oldest in the city. We'll continue to learn about the history of the capital until we reach the Jamia Mosque. Did you know that it's the largest mosque in Kenya?
From here, we'll walk to Nairobi Market, an ideal place to learn about the customs of local culture while strolling along its craft stalls. After buying some souvenirs, we'll pass by the University of Kenya, the National Theater and the Conservatory of Music.
In the final stretch of our tour, we'll pass by the Basilica of the Holy Family and Uhuru Park, the largest memorial of the country and where the country's flag was raised for the first time. Lastly, we'll take a glimpse at government buildings, like the National Parliament, the Office of the President and the Senate.
Then, 3 hours later, we'll return to the starting point bringing our experience to an end.
