Grand Central Terminal has over 110 years of fascinating history. Built in the Beaux-Arts architectural style, the station was inaugurated in 1913.

Initially, the station was viewed as vital to New York City's transport and development. However, with the rise of the car in the 1950s, the station's importance waned. It was eventually designated as a New York City Landmark and placed on the National Register of Historical Places.
