    The NY City pass is very convenient. Just a note about the Top of the Rock: it was poorly organized, with confusing queues and very crowded... although the views make you forget all about that. The Empire State Building was much better organized.

One of the most iconic landmarks in New York City, the Statue of Liberty stands tall as a symbol of the American ideal of freedom.

How to see the statue

The statue is visible from various points in the city, whether you want to see it from the sea, the sky or on dry land. On the Staten Island Ferry, which goes between Manhatten and Staten Island, you can get a good view from the water, free of charge! To see the statue from above, you could head up the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, or even embark on a helicopter tour!

History

The sculpture, which depicts the Roman goddess of Libertas, was given as a gift from France to commemorate the centennial of the Declaration of Independence of the United States.
