Explore the captivating archaeological site of Ensérune with this ticket, granting you access to an ancient Gallic settlement perched on a hill known as an "oppidum."

Why visit the Ensérune site?

Positioned atop a hill in the Roman oppidum style, the Ensérune archaeological site stands as a prominent must-see Antiquity destination within the Hérault region of Occitania.

With your entrance ticket to the Ensérune archaeological site, you have the freedom to explore the remnants of this ancient Gallic settlement. Among the remarkable features are the remains of a silo, once a vital storage facility for precious grains.

In addition to access to the oppidum, your ticket includes entry to the Ensérune Archaeological Museum. The museum's exhibition spans seven centuries of history within this Mediterranean-region settlement, which witnessed the passage of Celts, Iberians, Greeks, Etruscans, and Romans.

The museum also boasts several models and 3-D reconstructions of the archaeological remains within the oppidum. You'll also have the opportunity to explore a room that recreates the workspace of Felix Mouret, the archaeologist who oversaw the excavation of this site in 1916.

Furthermore, during your visit to the Ensérune, you'll get breathtaking panoramic views spanning from the Cévennes to the Pyrenees, while observing the vast Languedoc plain extending toward the Mediterranean coast.
