Inle Lake Boat Ride

Discover the incredible rural landscape around Lake Inle on this boat ride. You'll fall in love with this magical place!

Inle Lake Boat Ride

We'll meet at 8:30 am at the Nyaung Shwe pier and board one of the area's traditional boats to begin our cruise over Lake Inle.

A local boatman will take you along the canal to Lake Inle while you admire the beauty of this place that supplies over 200 villages, as most of them live off of fishing and agriculture. On the boat ride you'll get to see the villages in the area and the lifestyles of the villagers.

Along the way, the boatman will stop the boat anywhere you want to visit and wait for you in the boat. You can stop at the NgaPhe Monastery to admire the relics kept there by the monks, as well as enjoy spectacular views of the region.

You'll continue sailing the lake until you reach Inpawkhon. This village is known for its silk and lotus weaving. On your visit, you'll get to see how they create the pieces on the looms. Real craftsmanship!

On the way back, you'll marvel at the magical landscape of Lake Inle, full of crops and floating gardens. You'll arrive back at Nyaung Shwe at 4 pm.
