Trip to Orgosolo

At 3 pm, we will meet up in Piazza del Popolo square where we board the bus. We will leave Orosei behind and head into the interior of Sardinia. After an hour's drive, we will arrive in idyllic Orgosolo.

We will enjoy a guided tour through the historical center of Orgosolo to discover its numerous and colorful murals that date back to the late 60s. Political and social criticism, struggle for equality, history, and tradition, are just some of the themes of these works of art.

Afterward, we will discover another aspect that makes this villa famous. We will attend a workshop to learn all the secrets of the region's silk production. We will meet the only woman in Sardinia who maintains the tradition of raising silkworms for weaving. With her fabrics, she makes the headdresses of the traditional female costume of Orgosolo, and you will see some examples of these.

We will finish the excursion, arriving back at the original departure point at 7 pm.
