Day Trip to Lindøya & Hovedøya Islands
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the port of Oslo to board a ferry that will take us on a tour of Lindøya and Hovedøya islands, nestled in the Oslo Fjord. Let's sail!
Our first stop will be Lindøya, an island that is home to some 300 traditional wooden cabins painted in bright colors and separated by flower-covered paths. This place is famous among locals during summer when it turns into the perfect getaway for disconnecting.
There, we'll take an easy hike along its flat trails and discover an idyllic Norwegian landscape. Afterward, we'll return to the ferry to visit the historic island of Hovedøya, known for its lush vegetation and historic ruins.
We'll visit the fascinating remains of an almost 1,000 year old abbey and the 19th-century city walls. We'll tell you the stories behind these monuments and give you an ideal insight into Norwegian culture.
After discovering these two charming places around Oslo, we'll return to the starting point, where we'll arrive 3.5 to 4.5 hours later.
