Day Trip Details

Are you in Oxford and want to visit London? This day trip is the best option! At the indicated time, we'll meet at The Randolph Hotel Oxford, where we'll hop aboard a minibus to head to the British capital.

We'll leave Oxford behind and travel to one of the most vibrant and fascinating cities in the world. Don't believe us? Wait until you get there! After approximately 1.5 hours on the road, we'll reach the heart of London to begin a panoramic tour of its most important landmarks. Buckingham PalaceWestminster Abbey, Big Ben or the Parliament will be the first stops we make.

Afterwards, we'll see St Paul's Cathedral, nestled in the middle of the city. This impressive temple, considered a masterpiece of baroque architecture, stands 110 m (360 ft) high and is the second-largest cathedral in the world, just behind St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican!

Once we have admired the details of its façade, we'll go inside to explore its secrets. The frescoed ceilings and the great dome will leave you in awe. We'll also tell you about the many events it has hosted throughout its history, including Charles and Diana's Royal Wedding and the funeral of Winston Churchill.

The next stop on our tour will be at the Tower of London. Here, we'll take you back 1,000 years to reveal the secrets of this impressive bastion on the banks of the Thames. Did you know it has served as a royal palace, a prison, a mint and even a zoo? Inside, we'll see the tower's treasury, where the precious Crown Jewels are kept. We'll also introduce you to the Beefeaters, the keepers of the fortress. They are a symbol of London!

After this visit, you'll have between 30 and 45 minutes of free time to grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants near the Tower of London. Feeling refuelled, we'll meet back up and set out to tour the city from a unique perspective.

Fancy a cruise on the Thames? We'll board a boat and take a 40-minute cruise to see landmarks such as the London Eye, Tower Bridge and London Bridge from the water.

Finally, we'll return to dry land and get back on the bus to take us back to Oxford. We'll finish this amazing tour of London at the starting point after a total of 10 hours.
