The activity begins with us picking you up at your hotel in Panglao, where we'll set off toward the Loboc River, one of the most emblematic places on the island of Bohol. Here, we'll board a boat to begin this special experience. You'll witness a phenomenon that amazes little ones and adults!
As we sail along the calm river waters, the sky will light up with a natural glow. You'll see how thousands of fireflies fly around mangroves, creating an effect of intermittent lights that will make you feel like you're in a fairy tale. The guide will tell you fascinating facts about these luminous creatures and the ecosystem surrounding them.
Along with its natural beauty, this area is part of the Global Geoparks recognized by UNESCO on the island of Bohol, the first geopark in the Philippines. Keep your eyes peeled! What you're seeing is a site with a vast geological and cultural significance on a global scale.
After this magical experience of firefly spotting, we'll finish the activity by returning to your hotel in Panglao, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 3 hours.
