Options
During the booking process, you can choose between two sunset kayak tours in Paraty. For both options, we'll meet at the time you select at Praia do Pontal, and the activity will conclude at the same location.
Pombas Island kayak tour (2 hours)
After a short lesson on how to use the kayak, we'll make our way to Jabaquara Beach. There, we'll begin our tour through the last mangrove forest remaining in the urban centre of Paraty. If we're lucky, we might spot different types of birds and even capybaras in this area! Afterwards, we'll make our way to Pombas Island, an area teeming with grebes, bromeliads, cactuses and diverse wildlife. What's more, the area offers incredible views of Paraty Bay at sunset!
Kayak tour of the Paraty Islands (2.5 hours)
After brief instructions, we'll depart from Praia do Pontal in the historic centre to visit some of the 65 islands in Paraty Bay. The closest ones include Ilha da Bexiga, Duas Irmãs, and Ilha das Pombas. While paddling, you'll lose yourself in the beautiful surroundings.
Take advantage of the beautiful views which you'll encounter along the way to take some photos of the islands at sunset. You'll also have the opportunity to stop off to take a dip in the refreshing, tranquil waters.
After 2.5 hours of activity, we'll return to the starting point.
