Boat or Kayak Trip to the Marble Chapels and Cathedral

Between 7 am and 7:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Perito Moreno. From this Argentinian city, located in the province of Santa Cruz, we will drive west along National Route 43. This road runs through the beautiful landscapes of the Argentinian side of Lake Buenos Aires, known as Lake General Carrera on the Chilean side.

After passing through the town of Los Antiguos, we cross the border into Chilean territory. There we will get off the minibus and have a mid-morning snack of nuts or hazelnut biscuits. We will then head to the shores of Lake General Carrera for a boat ride to one of the most amazing natural areas of Chilean Patagonia, where the spectacular marble chapels and cathedral await us!

These immense rocks, declared a National Monument of Chile, are formed by a set of calcium carbonate mineral formations. The curious shapes and shades of the stones, considered one of the main natural wonders of the South American continent, will leave you speechless when you see them!

We will conclude the approximately one-hour trip with a tasting of Chilean pisco sour and a sweet bonbon, the perfect ending to a dream sailing trip! After disembarking, we will go to a typical ranch located on the shores of Lake General Carrera, where we will replenish our strength with a lunch that will include different savory cakes, homemade puddings, and a variety of infusions.

After lunch, we will contemplate the landscapes located at the foot of the so-called Northern Ice Field and we will start our return to the Argentinean territory, where we will admire other beautiful areas of Patagonia! Arrival at your hotel in Perito Moreno is scheduled for 8 pm.

Kayak tour

If you prefer, you can see the chapels and the marble cathedral with a kayak tour on Lake General Carrera. This route, which lasts one hour and is subject to weather conditions, is suitable for beginners. Those who choose this option will have less time for lunch.
