At the designated time, we'll meet at Elizabeth Quay, the vibrant waterfront that has transformed Perth's relationship with the Swan River. From here, we'll set off on a free walking tour of Western Australia's capital. Let's get started!

First, we'll head to The Swan Bell Tower, a structure standing at 270 ft (82.5 m) with a futuristic design that houses 12 bells from the St Martin-in-the-Fields church in London. Did you know that some of these bells date back to the 14th century?

We'll then continue to Stirling Gardens, the city's oldest public garden, where we'll explore Perth's early colonial urban planning. Just a short walk away stand the elegant State Buildings, a late Neoclassical complex that served as the government's administrative center for over a century.

Next, we'll admire the majestic St George's Cathedral, a prime example of Victorian Gothic architecture reinterpreted in local sandstone. Here, we'll talk about how its design incorporates vaulting inspired by the great medieval cathedrals of Europe.

Our route continues to Perth Town Hall, the only Flamboyant Gothic-style building in Australia, built by convicts. Then, we'll stroll along Hay Street Mall, a shopping strip that reflects the evolution of the city's layout since the late 19th century.

A few steps away, we'll reach London Court, a Tudor-style arcade that evokes traditional London shopping galleries. At its entrance, you'll see its iconic clock featuring an animated scene of Saint George battling the dragon.

Once we reach Forrest Place, we'll take a look at the buildings that frame this public square. This civic space showcases an eclectic mix of Federation Free Classical, Art Deco, and Interwar Functionalist architecture.

Finally, we'll stop at modern Yagan Square, where we'll conclude our 2-hour free walking tour of Perth.
