La Garrotxa Day Trip

At 8:40 am on the day of your excursion you'll be picked up from your preferred meeting point in Pineda de Mar. Leaving the coastal town behind, a comfortable air-conditioned bus will take you inland to La Garrotxa, a region famous for its volcanic landscapes.

After driving for around an hour and a quarter, you'll arrive at your destination: a charming historic village located atop a dramatic basalt cliff. You'll have half an hour in Castellfollit de la Roca to stroll down cobblestone lanes and discover picturesque stone buildings and the church, which date back to the Middle Ages.

Head back on the road and delve further into the beautiful natural scenery of La Garrotxa. Following a 25 minute drive, you'll find yourself deep in the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, where you'll visit the pretty village of Santa Pau and take in the views of its most emblematic monuments and landmarks.

The last stop on your day trip will be in the mythical Fageda d'en Jordà, a sprawling beech tree forest between La Garrotxa's volcanic cones. See the verdant landscapes from a new perspective: enjoy a tour on board a tourist train or by horse-drawn carriage.

Finally, you'll make the return journey to Pineda de Mar, where you'll be dropped back off at 6:40 pm.
