Porto Food Tour
Tour Details
What are the most authentic flavours of Porto? To find out, meet us in front of the Statue of Arnaldo Gama, from where we'll begin to delve into the most authentic flavours of the north of Portugal.
Over the course of 3 hours, we'll enjoy a food tour of Porto, stopping at three places to taste their most characteristic products. We'll also visit the Bolhão Market.
First of all, we'll enter Casa Louro, a typical tavern where the homemade aromas will whet our appetite. Here, we'll have an appetiser that includes ham, bread, a cod cake, a cod croquette, potato, parsley and egg. We can also enjoy a sardine, the symbol of the Atlantic coast, with a drink of your choice of wine, soft drink or water.
A few steps away, we'll go to a restaurant specialising in bifana à moda do Porto, a local version of the pulled pork sandwich. The meat, slow-cooked with wine, spices and garlic, melts on contact with the palate. It will be accompanied by wine, a soft drink or water to balance the flavour.
We'll have a sweet touch at our third stop. We'll savour a delicious pastel de nata, a jewel of Portuguese cuisine. This puff pastry tart filled with custard is perfect with a strong cup of coffee, as is tradition!
Finally, we'll pay a brief visit to the Bolhão Market, a temple for the senses among stalls of flowers, cheeses, fruits and sausages. There, we'll immerse ourselves in the hustle and bustle of the sales, colours and aromas, bringing this culinary journey through the heart of Porto to a close.
