Puerto Misahuallí Multi-Day Tour
2-Day Tour
Day 1
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Suchipakari Amazon Eco Lodge, where we'll be welcomed with a welcome drink. But before we start our tour of Puerto Misahuallí, we'll have a typical local lunch to refuel - we have an exciting two days ahead of us!
Afterwards, we'll set off on a hike through the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest, specifically along the so-called Gran Cacique route. On the way, we'll meet specimens of ceibo trees and medicinal plants.
Are you looking for an adrenaline rush? As we go along, we'll arrive at a river beach on the Napo River and go tubing. In this aquatic activity, we'll float on a rubber ring.
After feeling the rush while tubing, we'll return to the lodge to rest and enjoy dinner. Afterwards, if you wish, we'll organise an hour-and-a-half night walk to explore the jungle life under the moonlight.
Day 2
When we wake up, we'll have breakfast and do a workshop in which we'll make handmade chocolate. After tasting our reactions, we'll say goodbye at the entrance of the lodge.
3-Day Tour
If you have a little more time, we recommend that you book the 3-day tour of Puerto Misahuallí. In this case, on the first day we'll follow the same itinerary as described above, and on the second day, after breakfast, you can choose between the following excursions:
- Wildlife Refuge: we'll sail across the Napo River and then arrive at the Wildlife Refuge, also called Amazoonico. We'll then enjoy lunch and visit the Kichwa community. There, we'll be shown how chicha de yuca is made and we'll learn how to use the weapon used by the indigenous people, the blowgun. Finally, we'll go to Anaconda Island, where we'll see caimans.
- Playa de los Monos: we'll take a walk to a waterfall, where you'll relax with a swim. Afterwards, we'll have lunch and refuel to continue our tour. Do you want to meet some friendly animals? We'll have the opportunity to walk along Playa de los Monos or Monkey Beach. We'll also visit the Kichwa indigenous community, with whom we'll learn how to make chicha de yuca and learn about their customs.
In the evening, we'll rest at the lodge, and the next day, we'll have breakfast and make chocolate before saying goodbye.
4-Day Tour
If you want to add an extra day to this tour, you can do so by choosing the 4-day option. In this case, we'll follow the same itinerary as the 3-day tour, although the third day will be dedicated to getting to know the Napo Runa territory and the customs of the indigenous people who live there.
We'll sail down the Napo River in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon. From the boat, we'll discover the diversity of the fauna and flora of the jungle. We'll then visit the Museo de Trampas, where we'll learn how this tribe used to live. We'll also be welcomed by the Kichwa indigenous community and they will show us how they make chicha de yuca, an accompaniment for meals and special celebrations.
Finally, on the fourth day, we'll have breakfast and make chocolate that we'll be able to taste. After this activity, we'll say goodbye to Suchipakari Amazon Eco Lodge.
5-Day Tour
If you don't want to miss anything, this 5-day tour is ideal for you. In this case, we'll follow the same itinerary as the 4-day tour. However, on day 2, instead of choosing between the Wildlife Refuge or the Playa de los Monos Beach, we'll visit the refuge first and, on the third day, we'll visit the beach. With this option, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy all the activities in a more relaxed way.
Finally, on the fifth day, we'll have breakfast and prepare some handmade chocolate. After this activity, we'll say our goodbyes.
