Brijuni Islands National Park Boat Ride
Tour Options
When booking your boat trip around the Brijuni Islands, you can opt for a morning or sunset tour. In both cases, we'll set sail at the indicated time from the Port of Pula.
You can see the details of each route below.
Morning Tour (5 Hours)
After leaving the port of Pula behind, we'll head towards the Brijuni Islands National Park.
During the cruise, we'll have a panoramic view, without getting off the boat, of the 14 islands that make up the Brijuni archipelago. As we sail, we'll learn about the history and landscapes of this beautiful Croatian island group off the coast of Istria.
We'll also skirt the shores of Veliki Brijun, the largest island in the Brijuni archipelago. This island stands out for its Roman archaeological site, which we'll see from the boat. Did you know that the Brijuni archipelago was considered a paradisiacal destination for a restful retreat in ancient times?
After sailing around the 14 islands, we'll return to the coast of Istria. We'll disembark at Štinjanska uvala, also known as Lost Bay Beach. On this paradisiacal beach, you'll have 2.5 hours of free time for swimming and sunbathing.
Then, we'll refuel with a delicious lunch on board. The menu includes a main course with a choice of fish, meat or a vegan speciality. As a drink, you can choose wine, a soft drink or mineral water.
After lunch, we'll rest for a few minutes on the deck of the boat before we start the return trip to the port of Pula, where we'll conclude this 5-hour activity.
Sunset Tour (3 Hours)
If you choose this option, we'll set sail from Pula in the evening to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the archipelago of the Brijuni Islands.
While sailing, you'll enjoy a delicious dinner on board. You can choose a fish (grilled mackerel), meat (grilled chicken) or vegetarian (grilled vegetables) dish. Each dish includes coleslaw and bread. As a drink, you can choose wine, a soft drink or mineral water.
During the cruise, we'll pass the Peneda lighthouse, the southernmost point of the Brijuni Islands. We'll continue sailing around the island of Vanga, where the residence of the former Yugoslav president Tito used to be.
We'll continue to Mali Brijun, the second-largest island of the archipelago. From the boat, we'll see the Brioni Minor, the largest fort on the Adriatic coast. In addition, as we sail at sunset around this and the other islands of the Brijuni archipelago, we'll try to spot dolphins, which we'll be able to see swimming very close to the boat!
Finally, we'll conclude this 3-hour cruise by returning to the departure pier in Pula.
