Birdwatching Activity in Tandayapa
At 7:30 am, we'll pick you up from the Tribuna de los Shyris in Quito. We'll set off from here to Tandayapa, an area in the northwest with cloud forests where we'll do some birdwatching.
When we get there, we'll have a refreshing fruit drink and go on a walk to see different types of birds. We'll try to spot birds such as white-throated quails, strong-billed nuthatches, brown finches and red-crowned warblers.
We'll learn lots of fun facts about each species and their behaviour, as well as their peculiar mating rituals. Did you know that up to 20 different species of hummingbirds can be spotted in this area? Keep an eye on the trees!
After our walk, we'll have a delicious traditional lunch that'll include a starter, a main course, a dessert and water. Bon appétit!
It'll then be time to return to the pickup point in Quito, where we'll arrive at 5:30 pm.
