Take part in a unique spiritual experience, with a Wednesday audience with Pope Francis I. Your English speaking guide will take care of everything, so you can go relaxed.
Audience With Pope Francis
The tour meets at 7:20 in the Via della Conciliazione, one of the main streets in the centre of Rome, just around the corner from St. Peter's Square, the very centre of the Vatican City.
The guide will explain the history of the Catholic Holy See, and its many famous popes, as well as highlighting the most important and iconic monuments: St. Peter's Basilica and Square.
Then your guide will take you to your seat in St. Peter's Square to follow the homily that takes place every Wednesday, officiated by Pope Francis, from 9 am. Thousands of pilgrims come from all over the world to see the pontiff preach over the course of two and a half hours.
With the audience over, the guide will be waiting for you to give some final details and pieces of advice for your stay in Rome.
Hotel Pick Up
If you would like, you can book the tour with pick up. This takes place at 6:20 am, and includes all accommodation within an 8km radius of the meet point - where the majority of Rome's hotels can be found. We'll head directly to St. Paul's Square in the Vatican, with the tour finishing there.
Guided Tour of the Vatican Museums
You can complete the Vatican experience by booking the Papal Audience and Vatican Museums Tour. You'll see masterworks from art history, including the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo.
