    We had so much fun with Flaminia! The two hours flew by and we learned so much. We did the 10 AM walking tour and explored the forums, around the colosseum, and other hidden gems with beautiful sights. Flaminia was engaging, educational, and took care of all of us! It was one of my favourite parts of our Rome trip. Highly recommend!

A bit of history

The temple was originally built in 27 B.C. by order of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa and was initially dedicated to the Roman gods. However, after being destroyed by fire, it was rebuilt under Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century A.D.

The structure is especially famous for its massive concrete dome, the largest of the ancient world, and for its central oculus, which lets in natural light. Today, it’s listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
