Palace of Monterrey Ticket
Why visit the Monterrey Palace?
By booking this ticket to the Palace of Monterrey, you'll discover one of the best examples of civil architecture from the Spanish Renaissance and one of the most important models of the Plateresque style.
This palace was built by order of Don Alonso de Acevedo y Zúñiga, Third Count of Monterrey, a nobleman of illustrious lineage of Galician origin with important resources closely linked to the city of Salamanca.
Walking through its rooms you'll observe a range of architectural styles, including Neoplateresque. It even has its own style known as the Monterrey style! This has served as inspiration for buildings such as the Cavalry Academy of Valladolid, the Archaeological Museum of Seville, and the Provincial Palace of Palencia.
When booking the ticket, you can choose to visit the palace or complete your visit with access to the kitchens and cells. With this last option, you'll get a different perspective on the life of the palace staff over time.
