Sierra Gorda Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll depart from your hotel in Santiago de Querétaro and head to the Sierra Gorda, a beautiful natural area with lush greenery.
The first stop of the day will be at a rugged area located at the foot of the mountains. Once there, we'll embark on a 1-hour hiking route that will take us to the Cuatro Palos or Cristal viewpoint. There, we'll gaze out at breathtaking panoramic views of the Sierra Gorda.
Next, we'll drive to the Puerta del Cielo Viewpoint to admire the mountain scenery from another perspective. After taking in the views, we'll make our way to Pinal de Amoles. We'll take a guided tour of this mining town, which is located at the foot of the Sierra Gorda, to learn about its history and traditions.
After our tour of the town, we'll head to the banks of the Escanela River to begin a 45-minute hike. During our hike, we'll see some other iconic places in the Sierra Gorda, such as Angostura Canyon and the Bridge of God.
We'll then go to Pinal de Amoles, where you'll have 1 hour free to get some lunch. Having had lunch, we'll reconvene and head back to your hotel in Santiago de Querétaro. We'll arrive back at your hotel between 4 and 6 pm.
