Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Praça da Sé metro station, and once we're all gathered, we'll kick off this tour of Liberdade. During the tour, we'll journey through time to understand how this neighborhood became the epicenter of Asian culture in São Paulo.

Our first steps will take us to the Praça João Mendes and the Rua da Glória until we reach the Rua dos Estudantes, where we'll visit the capilla de los Afligidos, a site filled with mysticism.

Once we reach the Praça da Liberdade, you'll find out why this neighborhood is called "Freedom." We'll continue admiring the Igreja Santa Cruz das Almas dos Enforcados and the statue of Madrinha Eunice, crucial moments to understand this area's origins.

Afterward, we'll go to the Jardim Oriental, a beautiful park designed in a Japanese style where carp fish swim peacefully. After crossing the iconic Torii gate, we'll stop at the Lohan Temple, located in a charming 19th-century mansion, which is a pillar of São Paulo's Chinese culture.

To end the tour on a high note, we'll head to the Museum of Japanese Immigration. We'll explore its rooms and learn all about the history of the first immigrants who arrived in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century and how their legacy shaped Brazil's identity.

Finally, after 3.5 hours, we'll conclude the tour.
