St. John's Tour + Iceberg Boat Cruise
Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel and start a tour to discover the capital of Newfoundland. Let's visit St. John's by land and sea!
Firstly, we'll head to the Cape Spear Lighthouse, the most eastern land point in Canada. Did you know that it's the oldest lighthouse in Newfoundland? Upon arrival, we'll give you free time to admire the fantastic views of the Atlantic, as well as the icebergs that can be spotted from here.
We'll continue learning about St. John's as we spot some of the main attractions in the historic city, such as Jellybean Row, George Street and Quidi Vidi. Don't forget your cameras!
The next stop of the tour will be Signal Hill, an important spot to learn about what happened in the Seven Years' War. Here, we'll also tell you about the importance of St. John's in world communication, since it was here where Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal.
To top off the day, we'll head to the port and board a boat that'll take us on a fun journey around the icy waters of Newfoundland for 2 hours. Cape Spear, Cabot Tower and Fort Amherst from the sea are unforgettable sites! Additionally, if we're lucky, we'll see humpback whales swimming in the area.
Finally, we'll go back to solid ground and drop you off at your hotel after 6 hours of activity. See you soon!
