Pyramids of Guimar Ticket

  • Optional

Tenerife is home to a number of fascinating archaeological sites, and the Pyramids of Guimar are the most enigmatic. Discover their secrets with skip-the-line access to the ethnographic park.

What are the Pyramids of Guimar?

Located in the town of the same name, not far from the east coast of Tenerife, the Pyramids of Guimar are one of the most mysterious archaeological sites in the Canary Islands. Researchers believe the pyramid-shaped constructions are approximately 200 years old.

However, not all experts agree: some believe a theory that they were built buy the indigenous Guanche people who inhabited Tenerife centuries earlier, from which further hypotheses have arisen. Were they built for agricultural reasons? Does their existence have anything to do with astronomy, or the Freemasons? Discover the mysteries and decide for yourself visiting the fascinating ethnographic park.

The archaeological site is not only home to the pyramids, but also has a museum where visitors can explore the island's history, as well as a wide collection of native island flora across its botanical gardens.
