At the designated time, we'll meet at Largo San Michele 8/9 to begin our food tour of Tropea. Are you ready for a trip through the most authentic flavors of Calabria? Let's go!
To start, we'll take a look at the colorful and picturesque stands that fill the streets in the historic center of Tropea. Here, you can taste the first delicacies, like the famous red onion and some cheeses.
Among the most typical dishes, you'll find the morzello and 'nduja, made with fresh ingredients from the region. Between every bite, you'll immerse yourself in the town's culture and tradition through fascinating histories, facts, and anecdotes.
With happy bellies, our food tour will continue toward the majestic Cathedral of Maria Santissima di Romania, which we'll admire from the outside. Did you know that, during excavation in the summer of 1980, a Paleochristian necropolis was found here?
Afterward, we'll head to some of the most stunning viewpoints in Tropea. The views of the city will leave you breathless!
Finally, we'll marvel at the famous Santuario di Santa Maria dell'Isola di Tropea, where we'll say our goodbyes after 3 hours.
