Day Trip Details

Would you like to discover one of the Seven Wonders of the World? We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Tulum and set off on a 2 hour 15-minute journey, traveling 150 km (93 mi) through the jungle landscapes of the Yucatán Peninsula.

We’ll reach the ancient city of Chichén Itzá and, upon arrival, begin a guided tour lasting between 2 and 3 hours. We’ll walk through the site’s most iconic temples, including the Temple of Kukulkán, known as El Castillo. There, you’ll learn about the astronomical mysteries hidden in its steps and how the Maya managed to measure the solstices with absolute precision.

We’ll also walk through the largest Mayan ball court in Mesoamerica, where stone walls once echoed with every victory, and visit the Temple of the Warriors, guarded by columns carved with strikingly expressive faces.

Next, we’ll return to the vehicle and head to the colonial city of Valladolid, about a 45-minute drive away. We’ll have lunch at El Mesón del Marqués, a historic building that preserves the elegance of the past. We’ll spend 1 hour there, enjoying an exquisite Yucatecan dish made with seasonal products in an atmosphere full of tradition.

With satisfied appetites, you’ll have between 30 minutes and 1 hour of free time to stroll through Valladolid’s historic center. Don’t miss taking photos in front of the Church of San Servacio or at the Plaza de la Cultura, surrounded by colorful façades and arches.

To end the day on a relaxing note, we’ll reach a hidden Mayan cenote tucked away in the jungle in just 20 minutes. We’ll enter this sacred setting and, if you’d like, you’ll be able to take a refreshing dip in its cool, crystal-clear waters.

Finally, after spending between 1-1.5 hours at the cenote, we’ll begin the return journey to Tulum, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel after a total of between 11 and 12 hours.
