Tour Details

Ready for a trip through the jungle and Mayan history? At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Tulum and get in the vehicle to start an unforgettable day. Let's go!

After a 45-minute drive, we'll enter the jungle that protects the archaeological site of Cobá. Upon arrival, you can choose to take a ride on a bicycle to pedal through the characteristic sacbes, or relax with a tricycle ride led by the guide who will take you along the same route. These are paths of light shades of limestone that served as a link to other Mayan villages. As we advance, we'll be surprised by the temples covered with roots, stelae with peculiar engravings and the imposing Nohoch Mul pyramid, which rises above the jungle canopy.

After the 2.5-hour drive in Cobá, we'll continue on to the Punta Laguna nature reserve. Before entering the forest, we'll join a Mayan ceremony that will connect us with nature. We'll walk among the centennial ceiba and chicle trees, trying to spot the spider monkeys and, perhaps, the strident howler monkeys, true masters of the tropical ecosystem!

Afterward, we'll get into traditional canoes of the region for a ride on the reserve's lake. Adrenaline will take over as we get ready to zip-line over the water mirror, a liberating sensation!

After a 1-hour and 45-minute visit to the nature reserve, we'll head to the town of Nuevo Durango and visit the home of a Maya family, where we'll enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. We'll enjoy a chicken mole, rice, beans, tortillas, and a natural drink of either hibiscus, cucumber with lemon or lemonade.

Refueled with energy, we'll travel to the Esmeralda cenote for a 1.5-hour visit. In this paradisiacal lagoon, we'll marvel at the water, so crystalline that you can count the cracks in the rocks! We'll put on our bathing suits and take a swim while observing the curious rock formations with hanging roots in the round opening over the body of water.

In the late afternoon, we'll head back to Tulum, where we'll drop you off at your hotel about 10 hours later.
