Can you imagine listening to pieces by Mozart and Strauss in an elegant palace dating back to 1877? Then you can't miss out on this Vienna Residence Orchestra concert. in the Old Stock Exchange.

Why Attend a Vienna Residence Orchestra Concert?

The Vienna Residence Orchestra, a chamber orchestra with a long-standing tradition, was founded by the pianist and director Paul Moser and his wife, Sylvia Moser, to showcase the works of Viennese classical music.

Both the orchestra and its soloists are musicians used to the main concert halls in the world and delight thousands of classical music lovers each year. The typical Viennese sound, popularised by the string section of the Vienna Philharmonic, is just as important for this orchestra's success as its passion to perform classical music in an authentic way.

With this ticket, you'll get to attend a concert by the Vienna Residence Orchestra, who will perform the great works of the musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the vibrant waltzes of Johann Strauss, the joyful 'Four Seasons' by Vivaldi, and the majestic pieces of Ludwig van Beethoven. All of this will take place in a Viennese palace as it would've in the 19th century. You're bound to fall in love!

The Venue

The Vienna Residence Orchestra takes place in one of the most elegant buildings in Vienna: the Old Stock Exchange. This majestic red-brick construction is found in the famous Ringstrasse, next to the Votivkirche.

The palace was designed by the architect Theophil Freiherr von Hansen between 1870 and 1877 in the typical Viennese style, also known as Renaissance Revival. Hansen, who was an expert in acoustics, also built Vienna's Musikverein and Parliament. Did you know that his concepts are still used in concert halls to this day?

The dance hall in this palace has a dazzling ceiling with rich stucco decoration, 13 metres (42.6 feet) tall and featuring exceptional acoustics. We're sure that whoever witnesses a concert in the space will not forget it quickly.

Concert Seating

During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between 3 seating categories: VIP, A, and B (the furthest from the stage and the cheapest). We recommend booking well in advance, especially if you want the best seats.
