Experience Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons performed by Orchestra 1756 at Vienna’s Church of St. Charles Borromeo. A breathtaking journey into the Baroque era!

Activity Details

Can you imagine attending a classical music performance in one of Vienna's most impressive Baroque buildings? With this ticket, you can enjoy a concert at the Karlskirche, the Church of St. Charles Borromeo.

The Church of St. Charles was once the imperial parish church of Vienna. In 1716, after the end of the last great plague epidemic, Emperor Charles VI commissioned the construction of this magnificent temple as a sign of gratitude. Since its inauguration in 1737, it has evolved from being an eminently religious place to a vibrant cultural center.

The 1756 Orchestra honors the legacy of Antonio Vivaldi by presenting his music in this concert, in a church that is also closely linked to the composer. In an era without concert halls, churches were often the places where music was performed and people gathered to enjoy it.

For an hour and 15 minutes, you can enjoy this experience while listening to Vivaldi's most famous work: The Four Seasons. The music, inspired by four sonnets, will immerse you in a world of sounds and take you on a journey through time to experience unforgettable moments.

In addition to The Four Seasons, the performance includes one or two additional pieces that change each week, with works by composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, and other great masters. It will be a night to remember!
