Villahermosa Guided Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Parque Museo La Venta. From there, we'll make our way to the historic center of Villahermosa.
We'll see the Villahermosa Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Lord of Tabasco, a basilica with a mixture of Baroque and modernist styles that certainly doesn't go unnoticed. We'll also visit the oldest house in the municipality, dating back to 1750, the Zona Luz neighborhood with its colorful colonial houses, the Government Palace as well as the Plaza de Armas.
Next, we'll stop at the famous Casa de los Azulejos and the art deco building of the National Bank of Mexico. Then, we'll get to know the vibrant life of the city in its central food market, where we'll learn all about the local gastronomy and typical products.
We'll also learn about the history of the original name of the municipality and the figure of Diego de Quijada, a Spanish politician who founded the town in 1564.
Then, after two hours of exploring, we'll take you back to the starting point to conclude the activity.
