Romanov Guided Tour

When the clock strikes 1 pm, we'll meet at the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, one of the most iconic places in Yekaterinburg. This Orthodox temple, erected on the exact spot where the last Russian tsars were assassinated, will be the perfect setting to retrace the end of the Romanov dynasty.

As we tour the church we'll talk about Tsar Nicholas II and his family, the 1917 Revolution, the Bolsheviks, and much more. First, we'll take a cab to the Ganina Yama monastery, a beautiful wooden building hidden in the middle of a birch forest.

The significance of Ganina Yama is evident in every nook and cranny. Here we find the grave where the Bolsheviks hid the bodies of the Romanov family after their execution on July 17, 1917. We'll retrace the last moments of the Tsar, the Tsarina, and their five children as we walk to the Children's Monument.

Afterward, we'll continue to unravel the reasons that triggered the sad end of the Romanovs at the Monument to the Holy Passion. We'll also go to the bust of Nicholas II to pay homage to the last Tsar of Russia. You'll understand why this dynasty is so symbolic in Yekaterinburg and how its dark end is bound to the history of the city forever.

After four hours touring the scenes of the last days of the Romanovs, we'll end the tour by returning by cab to the center of Yekaterinburg at 5 pm
