Tour Details

We'll meet at the designated time at Humboldt & C. Macedonio Alcalá to begin this street food tour of Oaxaca. We'll dive into this culinary experience, where we'll journey through the flavors, aromas, and traditions of this unique city. Let's go!

Our first stop will be at Mercado Orgánico La Cosecha, where we'll enjoy an authentic Oaxacan breakfast, served with coffee, tea, and juice. You'll have time to savor this first encounter with local cuisine before we continue the tour.

Then, we'll visit an artisanal collective of local families where you'll discover the work of the craftsmen up close. After this cultural immersion, we'll take a short stroll through the city's historic center in search of our next destination.

We'll reach a chocolate shop, where we'll not only taste some chocolate, but also learn about the elaboration process of this product. Then, we'll head to the Mercado 20 de Noviembre. At this market, you'll try different types of moles and a delicious chocolate with bread. Ready to continue exploring the flavors of Oaxaca?

Next, we'll dive into the famous Pasillo de Humo of the Mercado 20 de Noviembre, where the grills await. You'll enjoy authentic Oaxaca meats accompanied by drinks and sides. If you're a vegetarian, don't worry! There will also be vegetarian options for you.

Afterward, we'll walk to the Mercado Benito Juárez to continue tasting typical products. Here, you'll try cheesestejate (a traditional beverage), nieves (ice creams), and the famous chapulines (grasshoppers).

Finally, we'll head to Tacos Rosy, a family business that preserves the grandmother's traditional recipes for our last tasting before ending the street food tour of Oaxaca.

After a 4-hour tour, we'll say our goodbyes at this spot.
