Erice + Trapani Salt Pans Day Trip
Tour Details
At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Alcamo. Ready to tour one of the most beautiful areas of Sicily?
After a 1-hour drive, we'll arrive at our first destination of the day, welcome to Erice! You'll have 2 hours of free time in this beautiful town to explore this charming medieval village at your leisure. You can stroll through its cobblestone streets and see the exterior of its emblematic Tower of Venus. Plus, don't miss the spectacular panoramic views of the Egadi Islands from the top of the city either—photo moment!
Afterward, we'll take the road to the famous Trapani Salt Pans, where we'll experience the magic of artisanal salt production. We'll walk along its banks, observing the mounds of salt and the mills that dominate the landscape. Did you know that its history dates back to the 12th century? At that time, the Normans began to exploit the area for the extraction of this “white gold”. In addition, we'll visit the Salt Museum, a unique sensory experience that will transport us back in time.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Alcamo 5.5 hours later, bringing our day trip to an end.
