Day Trip to Peñíscola
Description
We'll meet up at the Alcocéber Tourist Office at the designated time to begin our excursion to Peñíscola. Prepare to explore one of Castellón's hidden gems!
With introductions complete, we'll embark on a half-hour road trip in our vehicle. Upon arriving at our destination, our guided tour of Peñíscola will kick off at Artillery Park. Here, we'll meander through the gardens full of palm trees, olive trees, lavender, and native plants from the Sierra de Irta Natural Park.
Our journey continues as we approach El Bufador, a magnificent hollow nestled amidst the rocky landscape, where the sounds of the sea serenade our senses. Our next stop brings us to the iconic Peñíscola Castle, also known as Papa Luna's Castle, a true symbol of the Mediterranean. We'll unveil the fascinating history hidden within its walls.
Following this, we'll explore the Casa de las Conchas, a site whose construction hides a story. Prepare to be captivated by the intriguing details! We'll also delve into the Museum of the Sea, a haven that pays homage to and safeguards the maritime heritage of Peñíscola.
Five hours later, our excursion to Peñíscola will draw to a close as we return to the original meeting point in Alcocéber.
