Calp, Denia & L’Albarda Garden Day Trip
Day Trip Details
We'll meet at the indicated time in front of the exhibition hall of the Lonja del Pescado. From this point in the port of Alicante, we'll travel by bus to the Marina Alta, a beautiful region in the north of the province.
After a journey of approximately 1 hour, we'll arrive at Pedreguer, a small village on the outskirts of which you'll find the L’Albarda Garden. Once there, you'll have about an hour at your leisure to explore this beautiful neoclassical villa, which is surrounded by lush vegetation.
The estate has a total of three gardens: a formal garden in the centre, which surrounds the building; a traditional Valencian garden with Arab influences; and an area that recreates wooded areas typical of this region. Additionally, the whole complex houses a large collection of roses, palm trees and more than 700 native species.
After visiting the L’Albarda Garden, we'll get back on the bus and, in only 30 minutes, we'll get to Denia—one of the most beautiful towns in the Marina Alta! We'll take a short guided tour to discover its main monuments, among which the castle and the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción stand out. At the end of the walking tour, you'll have 2 hours free to stroll around and have lunch.
Having eaten, we'll continue our route to Calp. As soon as we arrive at this stunning coastal town, we'll take a tour of the historic centre. Along the way, we'll discover its top landmarks, such as the Torreón de La Peça or the church of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves.
After the tour, you'll have about 2 hours of free time to stroll around or take a dip at the Playa del Cantal Roig, a beach from which you can admire the famous rock that crowns the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park.
Finally, we'll meet again in the centre of Calp to return to the meeting point in Alicante, where we'll conclude this 11-hour trip.
