At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Moura Nautical Station to start a kayak tour on the Great Alqueva Lake. Are you ready to enjoy a day exploring one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe? Let's go!
Once we're all together, we'll give you the basic safety instructions, and then we'll get into the kayaks to start navigating Alqueva Lake. During the tour, we'll enjoy the calm waters of the reservoir built on the Guadiana River in the heart of Alentejo. As the sun gradually sets, it'll paint a colorful picture that will make you fall in love with the landscape from beginning to end.
Did you know that the construction of this lake has been one of the biggest projects for preserving the landscape and the economy of the region? Throughout the kayak tour, in addition to appreciating the natural beauty of this unique scenery, we'll tell you all the details of the Alqueva reservoir.
In addition, we'll make several stops so that you can absorb what is considered the greatest engineering work of Portugal and enjoy the sunset aboard the kayaks.
To regain your strength, we'll stop at a beach where we'll enjoy a small snack consisting of a typical sausage, cheese, bread, and a drink, choosing between wine, juice or soft drinks.
After a 2 to 2.5-hour tour, we'll return to the starting point and conclude the experience.
