Acadia National Park Day Trip
Day Trip Detail
The Acadia National Park is one of the most spectacular natural enclaves in the United States. Located in the heart of the state of Maine, this reserve of beaches, cliffs and lush forests is a must-see from Bar Harbor. If you want to see it for yourself, at the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel and begin this fascinating experience.
The day trip, which takes place in small groups of up to 7 people, will allow you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the wild beauty of Acadia National Park, a place that captivates everyone who walks its trails.
Upon arrival, we'll begin walking through this coastal park in search of the best viewpoints and Acadia's main attractions. Our first stop will be at Sieur de Monts Spring, the quietest part of the park. There, we'll find numerous forest trails and gardens that will give you a feeling of tranquillity and absolute peace. Here, we'll visit the Abbe Museum, perfect for learning about both the indigenous history of the area and the peculiarities of its flora and fauna.
Afterwards, we'll head to the Thunder Hole, one of the main attractions of Acadia National Park. We'll see how the waters of the Atlantic Ocean crash into this narrow cove, creating a truly impressive roar. However, on calm days, the water is a gentle foam that creates a more relaxed environment. Any time is a good time to see Thunder Hole!
We'll continue our adventure by visiting Otter Cliff, a set of granite cliffs that rise 30 m (98 ft) above sea level on Park Loop Road. Can you imagine the views of the forests you'll have from here? Have your camera at the ready, as the panoramic views of the ocean and treetops are incredible.
Nearby, we'll find Jordan Pond, a glacial lake whose crystal-clear waters will make it your favourite spot in Acadia National Park. On the shores of this lagoon, we'll stop for lunch and enjoy a traditional lobster roll.
Feeling refuelled, we'll return to the starting point and drop you off at your hotel after a total of 4 hours.
