Did you know...

Park Güell was named after Eusebi Güell, a wealthy businessman who initially commissioned Gaudí to build a luxury residential complex. Ultimately, only two houses were built and the park was converted into a municipal garden.

The Gaudí-designed complex was inaugurated in 1922 and has since become one of Barcelona's main tourist attractions. In 1984, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Why visit Park Güell?

The 17 hectares (42 acres) Park Güell is renowned for being one of the finest examples of Gaudí's Modernisme style. Wander through the artist's futuristic vision and enjoy wonderful views of the city along the way.

How do you get there?

To get to Park Güell by public transport, take metro line L3 from Lesseps or Vallcarca stations.

If you'd prefer to travel by bus, you can take lines H6 or D40 to the Travessera de Dalt, or lines 24 and 92 to Carretera del Carmel-Park Güell.
