Cabo Polonio Hike

After meeting up on Zitarrosa street, in Barra de Valizas, we will start our fantastic trek through the Cabo Polonio National Park. The route of the walk varies between 5 and 6 miles. 

For around two and a half hours, we will hike through this beautiful landscape of huge sand dunes and traditional wooden huts. Depending on the physical condition of the group and your preferences, we may head deeper into the dunes, the wooded area, or the coast of Cabo Polonio.

Whatever itinerary we follow, the walk will finish at the Cabo Polonio Lighthouse. However, this 19th-century construction, which has been guided ships safely to dock since the end of the 19th century, is not the only historical treasure you will encounter. You will also discover the remains of large stones that historically marked the border between the Spanish and Portuguese empires. 

From the viewpoint of the lighthouse, you will also be able to admire the islands of Torres, famous for the sea lions and seagulls that inhabit them. We finish the hike here and you will have free time to explore and enjoy the area at your own pace.

Return trip

When making the booking, you can decide between returning by yourself or returning to Barra de Valizas from Cabo Polonio in our 4x4. The all-terrain vehicles depart every hour from 2 pm to 8 pm. You can jump in any you want and the journey takes less than an hour.

• Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
