Belize City Shore Excursion
If you're docking in Belize City on a cruise ship, don't miss out on our Belize City Shore Excursion! You'll go on a fascinating sightseeing tour of the city centre and visit the famous Rum Museum.
Belize City Shore Excursion
At 9:30 am, we'll pick you up from the port and set off on our sightseeing tour of Belize City. Get ready to see traditional English architecture in the middle of the Caribbean!
The tour will start in the port area, where you'll see the sign welcoming you to the city and the great Baron Bliss Lighthouse. This 52-foot (16-metre) high watchtower has guided ships sailing in the Caribbean Sea since 1885. Its name refers to a very important British figure in Belize, whose story we'll discuss during the tour...
We'll also stop at the city's other symbolic English-style monuments, such as the Supreme Court building and St John's Anglican Cathedral. The latter was the first Christian church to be built in the then colony of British Honduras. It dates back to 1812, and since then it's hosted religious services and ceremonies without any interruptions.
Our last stop will be the Traveller's Liquors Heritage Centre: the Belize City Rum Museum. Here, we'll learn how rum is distilled and we'll even be able to taste some. Cheers!
At 1:30 pm we'll drop you back at the starting point and finish our tour.
Schedules
Although this tour is geared towards cruise ship passengers, it's very important that you check the arrival and departure times of your cruise ship in the port of Belize City. We also recommend that, taking into account the length of the tour, you make sure you have time to do this tour before your cruise departs.
