Guided Tour of Brasilia

After picking you up from your hotel at 8:45 am, we'll head to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Brazil to start our guided walking tour of Brasilia.

During three hours we'll walk around this city's most iconic spots, starting with its cathedral. Did you know that it is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site? We'll visit the interior of the temple and explain why it has that curious pyramid shape.

Afterwards, we'll go to see the strange facades of the National Library, the Honestino Guimarães National Museum and the Cláudio Santoro National Theatre. All these buildings were designed by Oscar Niemeyer, one of the most influential figures in modern architecture!

We'll continue the guided tour passing by the place that gave birth to Brasilia, the 'Marco Zero'. We'll also see the great Esplanade of the Ministries, the TV Tower, the Mané Garrincha stadium and much more.

While we walk we'll explain the four scales that the architect Lúcio Costa wanted to show in the urbanism of Brasilia: monumental, residential, gregarious and bucolic.

The next stop will be at the Post Office Museum where we will delve into the history of the city and its communications.

We'll arrive at the Sanctuary of Don Bosco, also known as the Blue Church. We'll visit this Salesian temple and tell you some of its curiosities.

The tour will end at 12 pm next to the sanctuary.
