With this fantastic day trip to Stradbroke Island, you'll be able to relax on the beach and enjoy some of the most incredible scenery on the east coast of Australia.
Day Trip to Stradbroke Island
At between 7 and 7:30 am, we'll come and pick you up from your hotel in Brisbane. From there, we'll head towards Cleveland, to the east of Brisbane. If you're lucky, on the journey you'll be able to spot kangaroos and koalas in their natural habitat.
When we reach Cleveland, we'll catch a ferry and sail through Moreton Bay to Stradbroke Island. The boat ride will take about 30 minutes, during which time you'll be able to gaze out at the wonderful marine life and have a typical tea with cake and biscuits.
When we get to Stradbroke Island, we'll take a 4x4 vehicle to explore the most enchanting spots on the island: waterfalls, panoramic viewpoints and animal observation points. After approximately two hours, we'll hike to North Gorge, where you'll have the chance to spot dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays and even humpback whales.
Afterwards, we'll make our way to a nearby beach where you can relax on the sand and take a refreshing dip. However, the smell of a delicious Australian barbecue will soon call, and you'll be able to enjoy the tasty food on the beach. During lunch, you'll also learn about the Aboriginal communities in Australia, and you'll get to see some of their most famous artefacts, including the boomerang and the didjeridu.
With your energy replenished, we'll return to the port to take the ferry back to Cleveland (where you'll enjoy tea and cake again!) and we'll then make our journey back to your hotel in Brisbane.
On this day trip to Stradbroke Island, you'll enjoy a barbecue on the beach. The barbecue will include ribs, sausages, German leberkäse, rice, salad, tropical fruit, beer, wine, juice and water.
