Tropical jungle, paradise beaches and intriguing shipwrecks: escape the hustle and bustle of Brisbane and spend two days exploring the best of Fraser Island.
Fraser Island 2 Day Tour
Begin your first day bright and early, being picked up from the New Brisbane Coach Terminal at 7:15 am. From there, you'll head north to a port where your ferry will be waiting for your cruise over to Fraser Island. All aboard!
During the journey up the Australian coast, weather permitting, you'll make a stop at Cooloola National Park, where you'll have the opportunity to admire the beautiful natural landscapes and even meet the wild kangaroos that inhabit the area!
Did you know that Fraser Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site? Arriving on the island, you'll soon discover why! Discover its most impressive places of interest, like Yidney Dripping Rocks and the famous Maheno Shipwreck. Do you know how the ill-fated ship ended up buried on the beach? Your guide will reveal the fascinating tale behind the wreck, one of many in the island's history.
After an incredible day exploring Fraser Island, you'll be taken to your hotel to relax and enjoy a delicious buffet dinner. What's more, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy an evening of games and activities on the beach.
Fraser Island is so much more than beaches and sand dunes! After breakfast, you'll be taken inland to explore the tropical jungle that covers much of the island. You'll feel as though you're in another world as you wander through the lush trees and exotic plants.
You'll then head to Lake Birrabeen, where you can cool off with a refreshing dip in the waters while admiring the white sand beach and tea trees surrounding it. Having relaxed at the lake, you'll be ready for your next activity: a fun tour of 75 Mile Beach in a 4x4 all terrain vehicle!
After two amazing days making the most of everything Fraser Island has to offer, you'll catch the ferry to Rainbow Beach, where you'll have free time to enjoy the beach and eat lunch at a local restaurant (not included). You'll then make the return journey to Brisbane, where you'll be dropped back off at New Brisbane Coach Terminal at 6:30 pm.
On the day of your excursion, you will have to pay the local fees for the ferry and for Fraser Island (60 AUD). The fee should be paid to the driver in cash.
