Los Dedos Paleontological Park Excursion
Description
Between 8 and 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel, heading straight to Los Dedos Paleontological Park, a key fossil site in Chile.
Upon arrival, we'll explore this open-air museum amidst the Atacama Desert on foot. Among the treasures awaiting us are remarkably preserved skeletons of marine life, including whales, dolphins, seals, fish, sharks, and various birds. But the real mystery is how these marine species ended up here — a mystery we'll solve while on this tour!
Our journey continues with a stop at the Diques del Morro, where we'll embark on a three-hour hiking adventure. We'll traverse arid landscapes, marveling at the convergence of two geological faults, and learn many geological facts along the way.
Following our hike, we'll head towards Chorrillos Beach, part of Bahía Inglesa. You'll have a leisurely two-hour break for lunch and a refreshing swim in this captivating bay, surrounded by towering cliffs that offer a spectacular view.
Finally, we'll end our day by dropping you off at your hotel between 5:30 and 6:30 pm.
