Few words describe the beauty of the Andes. To prove it, we'll ride through the foothills of the mountains, following the equestrian route of La Herradura. In addition, on this horseback ride around Curicó we'll discover the muleteers' trail.
Curicó Mountains Horseback Riding Tour
We'll meet at 9 am at the Tierras Bayas refuge, located in the Chilean region of Maule, at the foot of the Andes Mountains.
After a warm welcome and a brief safety briefing, we'll embark on an unforgettable horseback ride along the so-called La Herradura Andean route. On this trail, which runs through the foothills of the mountain range, we'll see the beautiful mountain scenery as we follow the path of the muleteers dedicated to the care of the local livestock.
During the route it's possible to spot some of the animals native to the Andes. So keep your eyes peeled for Chilean eagles, which, thanks to their privileged view, can look over these beautiful fields from far away.
We'll continue our horseback ride through the Andes to the banks of the stream Estero Cajón de Gamboa. We'll stop at its meadow, where we'll let the animals rest while we have a tasty country snack including nuts, cheese and salami.
Finally, we'll conclude the route by riding back to the meeting point, where we'll arrive at 1 pm.
