Chinchero Private Day Trip + Alpaca Walk
Activity Details
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at the indicated time to start this day trip to the region of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Ready to go?
Once we arrive, we'll begin a walking route with the friendly alpacas and llamas. Did you know that this environment is home to a great diversity of birds? While we walk, we'll tell you all kinds of curiosities about this place in the Peruvian Andes.
Then, we'll stop in the town of Maras, where houses still preserve their Colonial charm. Here, we'll pass by the salt mines, an extension of white wells known as the Pozos Naturales de Sal. Next, we'll continue toward Chinchero, an ideal town to connect with Andean culture. Welcome to the Sacred Valley of the Incas!
We'll walk through ancient trails leading to sacred sites and enjoy wonderful views of the Sacred Valley. We'll then reach the archaeological site of Moray, where we'll see the set of circular platforms. What was the purpose of these unique structures? During the 30-minute tour, we'll seek to connect with the past and with nature while traditional Andean music plays.
After, we'll have a delicious picnic lunch featuring organic, seasonal products. Time to eat!
After 7 to 8 hours of exploring, we'll arrive back at your hotel in Cusco.
